The role of our Working Group is to create a Forum with representatives from the Voluntary, Community and Statutory sectors to research, discuss and propose actions to address major health and social issues in the City.
Projects include:
- Commissioned by the Canterbury UN Sustainable Goals Forum to research and produce a Report on Poverty in Canterbury
- Development of a Poverty Forum
- Campaigning for a purpose built, state of the art Hospital located in Canterbury
- Collaborating with funding for the Canterbury Food Bank
- Working with local EMIC/BLM initiatives
- Liaison with the VCSE (Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise) sectors
