Grenville Hancox leads the Canterbury Winds with Emily Renshaw-Kidd (mezzo soprano) in an evening of delightful music from the 17th to the 20th centuries.

The programme includes Purcell, Beethoven, Mozart, Bizet, and Malcolm Arnold.

Canterbury Winds, founded 2012, explores the rich vein of chamber music specifically composed for an ensemble of wind instruments. It is part of Canterbury Cantata Trust, artistic director Grenville Hancox MBE.

Emily Renshaw-Kidd, Director of Music at the Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys, is a multi-talented musician who has been delighting audiences throughout Europe for over 20 years.

The Canterbury Commemoration Society is hugely grateful to Grenville Hancox, Canterbury Winds and Emily Renshaw-Kidd for generously waiving their fees for this concert, allowing the takings to go towards the Aphra Behn Statue Project.
