
Godmersham Guided Tour & Tea

The Canterbury Society have arranged a visit to Godmersham Manor on the theme of ‘The Jewels of Godmersham’. To include:
- A bespoke visit to the Godmersham Heritage Centre
- See the Thomas Becket plaque inside the church
- The Canterbury Society will have the first view of the replacement Susanne Sackree (Jane Austen’s brother Edward’s family nurse) plaque on the North wall of the Church-only unveiled on the 7th May.
- Walk in Jane Austen’s footsteps to Godmersham House, with guided tour of permitted areas
- Afternoon tea on the Terrace or in The Orangery if weather inclement
- All included in the price of £17.50 – Everyone welcome
There will be 2 groups of 20 and a swap over after 30 minutes.

(from Canterbury, bus 1x stops at the end of Church Lane and going back to Canterbury, the Village Hall stop is nearer the main drive to the house).
