Where, when and why did Vikings operate in Kent? What evidence is there for their presence? And what was their legacy in the county? In this talk, Dr Robert Gallagher (University of Kent) and Dr Heidi Stoner (Canterbury Christ Church University) will explore this little-known aspect of Kent’s medieval past. Drawing on archaeological, art historical and documentary evidence, they will also discuss how and where more Viking discoveries might be made.
